About Dr. Jeffrey Klemes

Jeffrey Klemes

Jeffrey A. Klemes, DPM, FACFAS is board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Klemes served as the founding Director of the Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program and is an attending surgeon at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.

After receiving his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, Dr. Klemes studied sports medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles in the graduate Department of Kinesiology. He earned his doctor of podiatric medicine degree from the California College of Podiatric Medicine, and completed a two-year podiatric surgical residency program from California College of Podiatric Medicine/Pacific Coast Hospital in San Francisco. He is currently Clinical Assistant Professor of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery at Western University of Health Sciences and was Clinical Assistant Professor at Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center.

Dr. Klemes has been involved in residency training for over 35 years. He has served as Director of the Surgical Residency Program at Cedars-Sinai, which officially started in 2001, for over 18 years and was Division Chief of Podiatric Surgery and Clinical Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Cedars-Sinai from 2002-2007. He has been a surgical residency evaluator for Council on Podiatric Medical Education/Joint Residency Review Committee (CPME/JRRC) and has served on the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS) credentialing and examination committees, as well as being an oral examiner for ABFAS for 18 years.

Dr. Klemes specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of foot and ankle conditions. He is an expert in the medical and mechanical management of foot and ankle diseases, and in the surgical treatment of deformities of the foot and related structures. His patients include those with surgical needs, diabetes, sports-related injuries, workplace injuries, and walking or running disorders. Dr. Klemes utilizes his knowledge and experience to facilitate the best patient outcomes possible.
